I am a lifelong learner and believe that every great teacher is a healer and every great healer, a teacher.  My continued research & study within the realm of human movement and consciousness has brought the awareness of the greater mystery of the meaning of “being & belonging” and with the understanding that each individual has a unique and personal story that can be re-cast/ re-imagined and the potential for healing from trauma and dis-ease are infinite.

I draw from interdisciplinary techniques which aid in the transformational practice for individuals seeking change.

I’m a board certified Teacher of the Alexander Technique (CTAT,) a long standing member of the American Society of Alexander Technique Teachers AmSAT; helping people to reclaim their freedom in  movement  (psycho-physical integration) since graduating from the Teacher Training Course at the American Center for the Alexander Technique NYC, NY in 1993.  Before my board certification, I graduated with a B.A. degree from the University of South Florida College of Fine Arts with a focus in Dance & Performance and a minor in Human Movement/Biomechanics.

Following my 1,600 hour certification in the Alexander Technique, I entered into private practice which I have maintained continually since.  I specialize in chronic pain conditions with much success.  I continued my love of dance and performance by pursuing graduate-level training within the Modern Dance genre focusing my course of study in the technique and pedagogy of Isadora Duncan, considered the founding historical “Mother of Modern Dance” under the direction of Jeanne Bresciani Ph.D at  the Isadora Duncan International Institute receiving my I.D.M.A. in 2003. I continued teaching and dancing in the U.S. and Internationally with the IDII company.  I earned an Advanced Degree in Isadora Duncan Choreographic Research and Pedagogy. Most recently I was conferred a Masters in Myth from the IDII in the Fall of 2021.

Other trainings and certifications include:

  • Reiki Master in 1994 15th generation in the lineage of Dr. Mikao Usui, the founding father of Reiki.

  • Aromatherapy training from AromaHead Institute

I have been fortunate to train with Master teachers within each of the disciplines that have aided my research in the realm of transformational practices that can effectively actuate change for those seeking health and wellness.

How I approach my teaching:

I lead each individual in a process of awareness, thought and movement coordination which cultivates and draws from internal resources that are deeply personal, yet part of collective shared human experience. Carl Jung’s Archetypes are a rich repository to draw meaning.  Engaging the body/mind/spirit through story, image and movement, everyone has the possibility of opening gateways into other embodied realms, and making known the connections there-in. Out of this experience whole new worlds are created, formed, shared and lived.

“The highest purpose of Art is to elevate human consciousness, stimulate the senses and revive one’s Spirit.”
